Looking for an info package for schools?
Here you go!
What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is a competition where participants team up to create solutions from scratch in a short amount of time, addressing the challenges brought by partner companies. Hackathons can be of various lengths and types, NEXUS for example is a two-day hackathon for high schoolers.
Who can participate?
NEXUS is open for participants from all high schools in Finland; no prior hacking experience is necessary. We’re not looking for strictly technical submissions — we believe creativity comes before skill. As long as you’re a team player and willing to put yourself to the test, you're welcome to join!
Do I need a team to participate?
You can sign up as an individual or as a ready team of up to 5 members. If you sign up on your own, you can find a team on the first day during the team building session.
What kind of solutions are accepted?
We’re not looking for strictly technical submissions. Your project can be a concept, app idea, product or platform - anything you think could be an innovative solution for your chosen challenge. Teams will be assisted by mentors throughout the event.
